Sundown Realty is located in the south end of the Bitterroot Valley in Darby, Montana...one of the gateways to the magnificent Bitterroot / Selway National Forest & Wilderness Area.  This is the largest unbroken wilderness in the lower 48 states.  We are approximately 65 miles south of Missoula, Montana & 65 miles north of Salmon, Idaho.Surrounding our valley is the Sapphire Mountains on the east side with the Bitterroot Mountains on the west.  Trapper Peak, in the Bitterroots, is snow capped much of the year.  The Bitterroot River flows thru the valley floor.  The entire area is very scenic and beautiful.Year round recreation includes fine fishing, hunting, skiing, hiking, horseback riding, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, animal and bird watching, and just enjoying the great outdoors at your leisure.  If you enjoy the outdoors, fresh mountain air, and peaceful surroundings, this may be just the place for you!
